Date:
Sun, 03/12/2023 - 5:30pm to 7:00pm

Join us for an evening with Dr. Dino! We will be looking at the multiple extinction events that impacted the dinosaurs during the Mesozoic Era, and then exploring the evidence for the idea of modern birds being living dinosaurs. We'll end with a discussion of some of the "avian dinosaur" conservation programs that the Phoenix Zoo leads and supports in Arizona and around the world.

Chris DeLorey, also known as Dr. Dino, is the owner of Educational Biofacts, Inc. and former Director of Education at Brevard Zoo in Florida. Chris specializes in paleontological consulting and has provided his services to a variety of organizations, such as Billings Productions, who created the prehistoric creatures on the Zoo's Dinosaurs in the Desert Trail.

The Zoo's Conservation Speaker Series is generously presented by the Arthur L. and Elaine V. Johnson Foundation.
