Jay Johnson, the UofA’s Head Baseball Coach, is ready for his second season with the Wildcats after finishing 49-24 last year and making it all the way to the National College World Series Championship.
Johnson says there are a lot of good things about being the head coach of the Wildcats.
“I get to wear a baseball uniform to work every day. I’ve grown up my whole life being a part of a team, and I get to be a part of the team every day,” he says.
On Nov. 15, Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson attended the ribbon cutting ceremony at Conchos Elementary Library to kickoff “Patrick’s Corner.”
Patrick’s Corner is an area in the library that consists of 1,700 books and furniture donated by the Patrick Peterson Foundation in conjunction with Scholastic Inc. and Papa John’s Pizza.
A Scholastic Book Fair was also held during the celebration and a $7 coupon was donated by the foundation for each student in the school to select a book for their own.
