SARSEF is a science and engineering fair for grades Pre-K and up. My project this year was the Travel-Sized Sink. I made it because whenever my family goes to the bathrooms at the park they are dirty and never have soap.

Kids’ projects are judged by their teachers, then if chosen their project gets sent to SARSEF. If you get into the finals, they announce your name and you go on the stage and receive an award. This year, the award ceremony was at Reid Park. If you’re lucky, you will have your name called and you get a trophy, but only if your project got 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. But there’s also sponsored prizes. For example, my project received the Excellence in Engineering award from the Little Chapel of All Nations.

After the award ceremony, there is a celebration with food trucks, games, and science stuff with prizes. In the end, SARSEF is fun for everyone.
