Have you ever been to the San Diego Zoo? If not, here are some of the cool things I saw on my recent trip.

The first thing I suggest is to ride the double-decker tour bus. By riding the bus you can see many of the animals, so you know which ones you want to go and spend more time with.

My favorite animals there were the pandas. There were two and their names are Yun Chuan and Xin Bao. One panda was eating bamboo and the other was sleeping—they were very cute! There was a bit of a line though to see the pandas, but it was totally worth the wait. Next to the pandas was a red panda that was sleeping in one of the trees.

My second favorite animals were the koalas. There were 10 koalas, however the website said there was a baby and its mom that were not out for public viewing yet. The koalas that were out were climbing in the trees or eating eucalyptus. A few of the koalas were sleeping.

Some other animals I saw were the leopards, one was eating this big piece of meat. There were three polar bears that were rolling around in the snow patch. I also saw a lion that was sticking its tongue out. There were many more animals, but these were my favorites!

My last piece of advice is for you to ride the sky ride! From the sky ride you can get an aerial view of the zoo and Balboa park, with its beautiful architecture! If you visit the San Diego Zoo I hope you have an amazing time!
