The twelfth time’s a charm. Astronaut José Hernández was rejected by NASA a whopping 11 times before finally being accepted and traveling on the space shuttle Discovery.

The movie was released on Sept. 15, 2023, on Prime Video in honor of the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. It is based on his autobiography titled, “Reaching For The Stars: The Inspiring Story of a Migrant Farmworker

Turned Astronaut.” This film was produced before the SAG-AFTRA strike.
