It’s lots of fun making bird feeders out of pinecones, covering them with peanut butter and rolling them in birdseed to hang outside. There is also a way to make a bird feeder out of an egg carton. This bird feeder is an eco-friendly activity that’s not only a fun craft project, but can be reused over and over.
To make your bird feeder you’ll need an egg carton, a single hole punch and string. First cut off the flat top of the egg carton. (You can put the top of the carton in your recycle). Be sure to cover any holes that birdseed could fall out of. Punch holes in each corner of the carton. Tie string on each corner and then gather all the strings in the center. Fill the carton with birdseed and hang in a tree.
