My family and I went to Patagonia, Arizona. We drove through Tucson to our cute little AirBnB that looked like a playhouse.
The next day, we went bird-watching and saw many animals, including squirrels, a violet-crowned hummingbird, and, surprisingly, a Cooper’s Hawk. During the hike, we saw something so special that my family and I quietly crouched down to take a picture. About 60 feet in front of us, was a herd of deer with their fawns.
The next day, we drove to Lake Patagonia. We spent the day skipping stones, hiking, and bird- watching. After the hike, I found a colossal stick bug crossing the sidewalk and helped it cross safely.
Finally, as we were getting ready for bed, we heard something shake the trash cans outside. We looked out the window and saw a squadron of javelina with a baby javelina, also referred to as a “red.”
My favorite part of the trip was helping the stick bug. If you love nature, I suggest your next trip be to Patagonia.
