The idea Museum reopened its doors to the public on Dec. 13 after cloain in September to make some updates. The grand reopening includes a new exhibit called Joyride: Art On Wheels. This special exhibit was designed for young minds and families.
Joyride: Art On Wheels will take you on a journey throughout the world of wheels. The exhibit includes lowriders, tricked-out wheelchairs, bikes, skateboard and other exciting wheeled vehicles. This exhibit was designed to be both educational and fun, by encouraging young minds (kids) to think creatively and see everyday objects from a whole new perspective.
Visitors can design their own dream skatepark by using toy-sized skateboards. They can design ramps, rails and more. 20 custom skateboards will be displayed on the walls of the exhibit. The skateboards represent the unique styles of the artist that created them.
There is also a cozy reading nook that was built into a 1980s truck bed. It is furnished with plush cushions to create a perfect place for visitors to unwind and relax. visit www.ideamuseum.org/joyride/ for more information on this exciting exhibit.
