Did you celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day? It happened last month, May 15 to be exact!

 According to National Day Calendar, Ruth Graves Wakefield of Whitman, Massachusetts, was probably curious about what a little bit of chocolate would be like added to her cookies. In 1937, while working at the Toll House Inn, Wakefield added cut-up chunks of a semi-sweet Nestle chocolate bar to her cookie recipe.

 The cookies were a huge success!

 Who is your favorite superhero? Superman, Batgirl or even Spider-Man? Imagine what it would be like to dress up as your favorite superhero and help others! Christina Fay, President of Justice League Arizona, does just that!

 

 “I’ve been a fan of DC Comics since I was a little girl. I dressed up as Supergirl for Comic-Con where I was recruited,” she says. Fay is 23 and got involved in the Justice League five years ago. This is her first year as president. Fay says that she is the first female president.

Imagine being the star of your own book! Imagine being a jackrabbit and starring in books! Jeremy Jackrabbit has starred in six books.

Authors Sasha and Rodney Glassman have written a series of books about Jeremy Jackrabbit and his adventures.

When the Glassmans went to the Tucson Festival of Books, they met a children’s book author and that made them want to become authors. Rodney

Glassman’s little brother, Jeremy, had a poster in his room with a jackrabbit on it so the Glassmans chose to use a jackrabbit in their books.
