Although not a national holiday, some states do observe Susan B. Anthony Day. Those states are California, Florida, New York, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Anthony’s state of birth, Massachusetts.

February 15 is a celebration of Susan B. Anthony’s birthday. Anthony was born in 1820 in Adams, MA. Her father was a farmer and later became a cotton mill manager. Her mother, Lucy, came from a family that fought in the American Revolution and served in the Massachusetts government. Anthony had seven brothers and seven sisters.
