I had a dino-mite experience at Jurassic Quest! It contains one of the largest collections of animatronic dinosaurs in North America. Due to COVID-19, Jurassic Quest offered a drive-thru experience at the Pima County Fairgrounds, which included an incredible audio tour, from the comfort of your own vehicle. Guests could enjoy over 70 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs placed in real-life scenes, with movement and sound. Each dinosaur was identified by name, region where they lived, identifying characteristics and eating habits. There were rows and rows of life-like dinosaurs.

There are many ways to celebrate New Year’s Day. My family and I celebrate New Year’s with new shoes. We buy new shoes to symbolize putting ourselves on a new path to success.

This year our shoes have a travel theme. We chose a travel theme because we stayed at home almost a year due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The shoes we chose were covered with a colorful map of the world.

Being a Bear Essential News Young Reporter is teaching me to be creative, have a strategy, and to use my time wisely. I learned that you can use these same tools in chess when I joined A Tale of Two Kings, a chess academy in Tucson.

It offers individual and group lessons, chess camps, tournaments and now with coronavirus, it also has online options. Chess is almost 1,500 years old but it is still a very popular game around the world.
