In the summer of 2024, I spent seven weeks in the BIO 5 Institutes KEYS (Keep Engaging Youth in Science) high school internship. The training program aims to foster a close-knit community of students while allowing them to explore their diverse interests in STEM research. Although the process of writing, submitting assignments, and approval was difficult, I knew every day of KEYS inspired me with new knowledge and tasks that would help me to grow for my college and future career.

What is the Humane Society? The Humane Society is a place where people can adopt pets like cats and dogs.

The Humane Society also has special events like free adoption days, but that’s not the point. The point is that dogs, cats, and other animals are not getting adopted and more of them are coming in everyday. So adopting from the Humane Society and other pet organizations helps the community.

My family and I went to Patagonia, Arizona. We drove through Tucson to our cute little AirBnB that looked like a playhouse.

The next day, we went bird-watching and saw many animals, including squirrels, a violet-crowned hummingbird, and, surprisingly, a Cooper’s Hawk. During the hike, we saw something so special that my family and I quietly crouched down to take a picture. About 60 feet in front of us, was a herd of deer with their fawns.

The Tucson Country Day School Veterans Day assembly included a variety of fun-filled activities. It took place the Friday before Veterans Day, Nov. 8. Preschool through eighth-grade students were gathered there at the Activity Center for the patriotic remembrance day. Twenty-three veterans were on stage, sharing their names and explaining their position and branch of the military.
