Monsoon in the Southwest brings much more than just rain. It also brings a not-so-friendly amphibian out from hiding called the Colorado River Toad. While these toads are harmless to humans, their toxins are potent enough to take down even a fully grown dog.
Here at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, we are here to help you protect your pets from any dangers they may encounter in our environment. These 15 minute training classes give you and your dog the necessary training to allow them to identify and avoid a toad; preventing a potentially deadly encounter.
