Tree Recycle Around The Valley

Apache Junction:

The city of Apache Junction provides two free drop-off points that will accept trees from sunrise to 10 p.m., through Jan. 31.

The drop-off sites are: Apache Junction Animal Control, 725 E. Baseline Avenue and Prospector Park, 3015 N. Idaho Rd.

Residents are asked to remove any tree stand and decorations from the trees before being dropped off. Any questions about this service should be directed to the city’s Public Works department at (480) 982-1055.

Chandler: Curbside Christmas Tree collection will take place now – Jan. 12, 2024, and is available to Chandler residents paying for City-provided solid waste services. For curbside collection, please place the tree at the edge of the driveway (not in the street) before 6 a.m. on your scheduled recycling collection day.

Gilbert: Collecting Christmas Trees for A Good Cause Soon your old Christmas tree could be sleeping with the fishes. Gilbert has partnered with the Arizona Game and Fish Department to collect old Christmas trees and create a new home for the fish in Roosevelt Lake. The town hopes to collect 600 live Christmas trees at drop-off locations around the community to be hauled off to Roosevelt Lake, tied to a cinder block and dropped into the water at select locations in the lake.

Glendale: Through January 7, 2024. The Solid Waste Department has established several sites throughout the city where residents can drop off trees for recycling: (Single, un-bagged tree, remove all decorations, tree stands, metal stakes and nails.)

All lights, ornaments, tree stands, and nails must be removed. Artificial trees, trees flocked with artificial snow, wreathes, and unsold trees from commercial lots are prohibited.

Queen Creek: The Town of Queen Creek offers a free, self-serve Christmas tree drop-off now through Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The self-service drop-off area is located just north of the Town’s Field Operations Facility at 19715 S. 220th Street and can only be accessed via Ryan Road.

Casa Grande: Through January 12, 2024.  All collection containers will be marked with “Christmas Tree Recycling” signs.

Oro Valley: Residents can recycle real Christmas trees during daylight hours now through January 15, 2024.

The tree drop-off location is 9451 N. Egleston Drive, located just north of James D. Kriegh Park. Please access the lot from Linda Vista Blvd. as there is no access to this site from Calle Concordia.

Before drop-off, everything needs to be removed from the tree, including the stand, ornaments, lights and any type of wire or tinsel. Recycled trees will be mulched and used for composting.
