Phoenix-area journalist wannabes-Bear is partnering with the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication for the annual Young Reporters Workshop! It's Saturday, Jan. 27 at the school's beautiful building in Downtown Phoenix and runs from 10:30-2:30 and includes the training you need to start reporting for Bear Essential News plus a pizza lunch! Teachers or parents need to call toll free: 1-866-NEWS KID to reserve space for attendees.
Teachers, parents and advisers are also encouraged to sign up for a tour of the Cronkite School, courtesy of Cronkite Ambassadors from the college.
The monthly Young Reporter Night meeting in Tucson is the third Thursday of the month. This month, it's at Bookmans on Speedway near Wilmot on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m. till 6 p.m. If you have a news story to edit, please arrive at 4:30.
