Tucson has a new non-stop flight to New York’s JFK airport.

A non-stop flight is better than a flight with a connection because you don’t get stuck in a place that’s not your destination. The inaugural flight was on Oct. 7, 2016, and I was on that flight. Before I got on the plane, I got free giveaways like a water bottle, a bag, a statute of liberty crown, and a bagel for breakfast.

There was a singer that sang songs from the 1970s about New York. He is a football player for UofA and a singer.

More than 11,000 years ago, the first humans arrived in Bandelier hunting enormous bison and mammoths. Bandelier is a beautiful place with an amazing history.

This National Monument, located in Los Alamos, NM, has many cave dwellings and petroglyphs from the ancient people who used to live there. Visitors can climb into some of the caves using ladders. Exploring these dwellings gives visitors an idea of what it was like to live in that area thousands of years ago.

We took a four-day trip to Fort Worth, Texas. We left Tucson at 5 p.m. and we got there at 8:40 a.m. In Fort Worth, the time is 3 hours ahead, so in Arizona time we got there at 5:40 a.m.

We stayed in a hotel called Best Western. It was a very fun and clean hotel. We got to meet relatives that haven’t seen me since I was just 1.

Want to go on a dream vacation loaded with LEGOs or have tea with your American Girl doll? My family and I went to California in August. We visited Legoland in Carlsbad and the American Girl Store in Los Angeles. I had the time of my life and it was the best summer “vacay” to date.

On a recent trip to Southern California, I was lucky enough to visit Universal Studios and the newly opened Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The Harry Potter themed attraction opened in 2010 in Orlando, Florida, and in April of 2016 in Universal Studios Hollywood. The rides consist of Hogwarts Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Flight of the Hippogriff.

My family and I, who have been living in Tucson for the past four years, went on a European vacation this summer to visit friends and family. We visited two countries – Germany and Switzerland. We visited cities like Frankfurt and Heidelberg in Germany, and Zurich and Lausanne in Switzerland. My favorite part of the trip was paragliding with my parents in Murren, Switzerland. Located a few miles south of Interlaken, Murren is a village that is only accessible by cable car and located above the town of Stechelberg in the Lauterbrunnen Valley.

The sight was majestic. It almost didn’t look real! It is the Grand Canyon!

Starting off its life as a flat-layered rock, the impact the Colorado River had on our great landmark is remarkable and unexplainable. The Colorado River cut 277 miles of beautiful canyon! It started its process millions of years ago, and it’s still going on today.

Sunsplash is a water park that is fun for all ages. There are crazy, insane water slides—there are scary slides and steep ones and some that go really, really fast. You have to be 48 inches tall to ride any slide or to go into the wave pool without a life jacket.

I went on every slide because I was big enough. I spent hours at Sunsplash riding slides and having so much fun there!

There was an ice cream shop and boys could go in without a shirt or shoes on. I got a huge ice cream there. The wave pool made huge waves that are deep.

Campbell Finley at the International Spy Museum with a Spy Lipstick

I went to the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC. I interviewed Lucy Stirn, the Museum Educator who teaches all of Spy Museum’s student workshops and assists with the development of curriculum and education resources. She says, “the museum started in July 2002 by man named Milton Maltz. His idea was to create a place where people can learn about intelligence or spying. There had never been a museum open to the public about spying.” She says, “there is another big spy museum in America, but it’s closed to the public.
