What were a lot of fellow Arizonans doing on Dec. 4? Taking part in the Hot Chocolate Run!
The Hot Chocolate Run is a race where runners can choose from a 5K run or a 15K run. Each group of runners runs around Scottsdale and finishes near the Talking Stick Resort. The race raises money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix.
Now, you might be wondering why it is called the Hot Chocolate Run. First of all, runners can get little snacks along the way. Secondly, when the runners finish they are rewarded with a Finisher Mug. Finishers are handed a savable mug filled with all kinds of goodies. You guessed it! One of those goodies is hot chocolate. Other snacks include pretzels and dark chocolate dipping syrup. How would that keep you motivated?
