Talking with Arizona designer Quinlan Wilhite of the brand name QMULATIVE, who is debuting some designs at Phoenix Fashion Week.
This past month was the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show. This year’s theme was “The Minerals of the Mid West.” The show displayed many beautiful gems and minerals including geodes, calcites, turquoise, fluorite, wulfenite, and more. You haven’t herd of wulfenite? Nether had I until I found out that there Is a house bill to make wulfenite the state mineral of Arizona. If the bill passes Arizona school children will all know what wulfenite is.
For those aspiring to be fashion designers you must attend Tucson Fashion Week. I attended the October show that featured local designers and of course my fav, Richie Rich, as the headliner. What a night!
The Disney On Ice show, Worlds of Enchantment, came to Tucson in October. It was very enchanting indeed because it had classics like Cars, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story and more. I had the opportunity to attend a media event to help kick
off the first show! A group of local Tucson elementary kids were there to attend a reading from the book Cars, take pictures and talk to two ice skaters from the show followed by a pizza party. This got the kids so excited and pumped to see the show!

Want to go on a dream vacation loaded with LEGOs or have tea with your American Girl doll? My family and I went to California in August. We visited Legoland in Carlsbad and the American Girl Store in Los Angeles. I had the time of my life and it was the best summer “vacay” to date.
Gymnastics World Central on Fort Lowell is offering weekly day camps for kids all summer long. The classes are three hours a day, four days a week.
At the beginning of camp each day, we started by stretching and warming up our bodies. Afterwards we were spit up into two groups. The group I was in did exercises on the bars, floor, rings, trampoline and the tumble track. It was a great work out and loads of fun! The coaches were really nice and showed us new skills. My coaches were Coach Caleb and Coach Jaime.
