Did you watch the Paris Olympics? Fencing was one of the sports at play. In fact, fencing was a part of the original 1896 modern Olympics and has been  ever since.

What happens if you combine a waffle, a croissant and a pastry? You get a croiffle! A croiffle looks like a caramelized waffle. The inside is white and fluffy, just like a croissant. Once you bite into it, sugary, sweet goodness fills your mouth.

Last month, I wrote about how you should try fencing. Now, I am going to tell you about my fencing club, German Fencing Academy. I’ll also share my experience of winning a tournament!

My older brother recently interviewed my academy’s coach, Jens Stephan. He was born in Germany, where he was introduced to fencing by a friend. He started GFA in Tucson because there were not many fencing clubs in Arizona. When he started the club, he started small at the Oro Valley Rec Center. Now, the GFA is at the Tucson Mall.

I've been doing fencing  for three months and I love it. I will share what this sport is and why you should try it.

On Christmas 2023, my family went to Sedona, for the first time. When I arrived, I saw enormous, red mountains that looked completely different from the ones in Tucson. My favorite part was visiting a church in a mountain, called the Chapel of the Holy Cross. The church had huge windows and looked like a combination of triangular and rectangular shapes. Inside the church, it felt very peaceful. I noticed a six-foot tall crucifix, some holy water, and biblical paintings.
