The Target Field Trip Grants program is managed and administered entirely by Scholarship America. Scholarship America will evaluate applications and award grants based on the following criteria:

Applicant's description of the field trip and its objectives
Benefits to the students, including overall student learning experience, relevance to curriculum and number of students who may benefit from the grant
Proposed use of funds
Trip to be taken between January 1, 2019 and the end of the 2018-19 academic year (May/June 2019)

Raytheon has awarded $300,000 in scholarships and grants to middle school students and their schools as part of its MathMovesU® program, an initiative designed to engage middle school students in math and science. Each of the 150 students from across the United States will receive a $1,000 MathMovesU Middle School Scholarship to be used for a math, science or technology camp or program, or saved for the first year of college. Additionally, each recipient’s school will receive a matching grant from Raytheon.

The National Weather Association aims to support the importance of meteorology in elementary, middle and high school by awarding grants to teachers who demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of meteorology education, a science subject that is frequently overlooked.

One of the greatest barriers preventing our youth from experiencing the public lands around them is lack of transportation and funding for activities. The goal of the Every Kid in a Park Field Trip Grants program is to provide efficient transportation support for 4th grade students to visit our national parks and other public lands to engage the youth in meaningful activities once there.
