Food service will be offered at all school sites at no cost to all children up to 18 years old. Families can go to any school site. Adults can purchase breakfast for $2 and lunch for $3 each. Please bring exact change.

Breakfast will be available from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Parents should accompany their children as the district will not be able to provide supervision. Please note that children will only be allowed on campus during those meal times.

All preschool programs and before- and after-school programs will also be closed. Fees will be credited for days closed due to a walkout. The Brichta and Schumaker centers will be open and will operate normally.

No schools will have makeup days at this point. If the walkout continues long-term, the school year may be extended. District leadership is working through how best to handle an extension if it becomes necessary, and we will keep you informed as soon as we can.

We have answers to the most common questions for parents and staff at www.tusd1.org and on Facebook (www.facebook.com/tucsonunified). We will continue to update those platforms and send emails to parents and staff as information becomes available.
