‘Fill an F150’ Water Drive Benefiting The Salvation Army’s Extreme Heat Relief Project

  • Where: All 13 Metro Phoenix-area Ford dealerships, four Valley Famous Dave’s restaurants and Big Surf Waterpark
  • When: Ongoing through June 11
  • Cost: Water donation

Come support the Salvation Army’s Extreme Heat Relief Project during the 5th annual Fill an F-150 Bottled Water Drive along with Ford Motor Company, Famous Dave’s BBQ and Big Surf Waterpark.

This event runs through June 11, so stop by any of the participating locations to drop of cases of bottled water to benefit those in need during our deserts hot summer months! Big Surf Waterpark will provide a half-off daily admission voucher (value of $16.48) to each person who donates at least one case of water (16 oz or larger, 24 or more bottles) The discounted daily admission tickets are redeemable during the 2017 season.

In addition, Valley Famous Dave’s will provide a coupon for one free brisket sandwich redeemable through August 2017 (limit of one coupon per person; must donate 1 case of 24 or more bottles.)

The Real Thing - Summer Concert Series at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park

  • Where: McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, 7301 E. Indian Bend Rd, Scottsdale,
  • When: 7:30-9:00 pm
  • Cost: Free Admission, pay for what you buy/ride

The Summer Concert Series keeps rolling right on track this week with a performance by R&B, funk group – The Real Thing. As usual arrive ahead of the show to grab a spot to lay the blanket or pitch a chair. Have the kids blow some steam of their own and hop aboard the park’s railroad or carousel for $2! Admission for the concert is free, food will also be available for purchase.

Meet Me Downtown Phoenix Social Run/Walk

Make mundane Mondays into moving Mondays!

Prior to check in head to The Park, in Collier Center and socialize before hitting the route for food and drinks. Walkers and runners receive a stamp good for deals throughout Downtown Phoenix restaurants and shops, to enjoy the cool and unwinding 3.3 mile trek! Check-in begins at 5:15 pm with participants able to begin immediately after registration.

Additionally, there is an optional runners route for added intensity.

Westgate Wednesdays – Super Hero Sensation featuring Wonder Woman

Head to Westgate Wednesdays and prepared to wowed by Wonder Woman!

Snap a pic with your new favorite super hero, compete in games for prizes and don’t forget the swimsuit for the splash pad available to cool off all night! Present a receipt from Opa Life Greek at Westgate (dated from June 1 – 7 and amount equal to or greater than $15) to fast pass through the photo line.

Second Friday Night Out

If you’re looking for some free fun on a Friday night, this event is for you!

Come enjoy 60+ food and art booths as well as galleries. This second Friday is cosplay themed, so dress up as your favorite character and compete in the costume contest held at 8pm in the Oneohone Gallery. There will be prizes for the winners of the adults and children categories. The fun doesn’t stop there; this event is also dog friendly.

Bring the pup and family out for some food, art, and entertainment!
