Lookin’ for some Hot Stuff this Sunday evenin’? Tucson Pops Orchestra welcomes vocalist Crystal Stark for Music Under the Stars, debuting Stark’s pop symphonic concert “Last Dance – A Tribute to the Music of Donna Summer.” Swing and sing to the sounds of Summer at the DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, Reid Park. Free admission with the performance starting at 7 p.m., arrive early to lay your blanket or pitch your chair!

Make mundane Mondays into moving Mondays with Meet Me at Maynards Walk/Run.
Bring the family (even Fido, on a leash of course) to Maynards Market prior to starting for event check in and registration. Walkers and runners receive a stamp good for deals at Downtown Tucson restaurants and shops to help you enjoy the cool and unwinding trek! Check-in begins at 5:15 pm with participants able to begin immediately after registration. There are routes for all ages and abilities.

Dig into Dinosaur Discovery at Dusenberry-River Public Library with Children’s Museum Tucson. Examine fossils and uncover the truth behind their appearance, appetite and extinction!
The presentation is from 2 - 3 pm and intended for ages 5 & up. Free tickets are given out 30 minutes prior to start.

The Eckstrom-Columbus Library will be hosting a free craft hour from 3:30-4:30 p.m. led by instructor Mary Ellen Palmeri, an established local artist. During the hour, you can cut-out and decorate paper figures of athletes!

Kristopher Yanez is the proud father of 1-year-old daughter Kennedy, a journalism student at Pima Community College and is also the first-ever Bear Essential News Summer Apprentice. When Yanez is not doing school work, he is off doing daddy duties for young Kennedy.
