Sunday, September 24

- Cost: Free to cheer on, pay for registration if you want to participate
Join the Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona Sunday morning for a family-friendly fun run at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park on River Road! Not up for the sprint? No worries, feel free to come out and cheer on runners and walkers. This flat out-and-back course is ideal for new runners as well as elite runners. There will also be a free 100 Meter Trefoil Trot for children 6 and under at the conclusion of the race at the race expo where vendors will be sharing fun activities. GSSA will give ALL youth race participants a Thin Mint Sprint patch and all racers will receive a Girl Scout Cookie at the finish line!
Tuesday, September 26

Murphy-Wilmot Library and the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Tucson partner to launche a seven-part lecture series on Refugee Resettlement, starting with a Resettlement Program Overview presentation. Gain a better understanding of the most recent executive order and Supreme Court rulings about refugees from IRC Tucson's executive director, Jeffrey Cornish.

The Institute for the Environment at the University of Arizona presents UA President Robert C. Robbins. Robbins will speak on the strength of environment at UA. Prior to and after his presentation, network and learn from more than 30 campus environmental programs and groups in the ENR2 courtyard and enjoy complimentary food and beverages.
Wednesday, September 27
- Where: Cirque Roots, 901 N. 13th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85705
- When: 6 – 7:30 p.m.
- Cost: $10
Head to Cirque Roots for a lesson on doing and perfecting handstands. Learn techniques, tips, and drills to help you prepare your body. Gain strength and flexibility needed for advanced acrobatics or circus training.
Thursday, September 28
- Where: Tanque Verde Swap Meet, 4100 S Palo Verde Rd.
- When: 6:30 – 9 p.m.
- Cost: $15/vehicle, $20 front-row parking
Cactus Drive-In Theatre will be showing La La Land (PG-13) at the Tanque Verde Swap Meet in the north lot this week. Come out to enjoy our fall weather and an award-winning feature!
Friday, September 29

Join other cat and dog lovers for Spay and Neuter Solutions' annual fundraiser at the Shelter Cocktail Lounge. "Adelante offers college and career readiness for K-12 Mexican American/Latino families in TUSD. This event provides opportunities to learn how Tucson Unified School District can help you and your children succeed at school and prepare for college. Community resources and information to improve your family's daily life will also be available. Workshops from TUSD and community partners for K-12 students and parents to focus on how to start preparing for college NOW. Co-hosted by the University of Arizona's Mexican American Studies Department.
Childcare & Spanish translation services will be available.
Adelante ofrece preparación universitaria y profesional para las familias K-12 Mexicano Americanas / Latinas en TUSD. Este evento brinda oportunidades para aprender cómo el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Tucson puede ayudarlo a usted y a sus hijos a tener éxito en la escuela y prepararse para la universidad. Recursos comunitarios y información para mejorar la vida diaria de su familia también estarán disponibles. Habrá talleres de TUSD y socios comunitarios para estudiantes de K-12 y padres para enfocarse en cómo comenzar a prepararse para la universidad AHORA.
