We're going to take things a little differently, this time. Below is a list of awesome and fun, but family-friendly events between now and the end of October! 

Many of these events are some of Bear's sponsors that are offering FREE and fun events throughout this month. So pick your spook and enjoy a bountiful and boo-tiful October!

Monster MASH 5K and 10K

at Steam Pump Ranch

  • Where: Steam Pump Ranch, Oro Valley, Arizona, 10901 N. Oracle Rd.
  • When: 4 - 9 p.m.
  • Cost: Free to go, but for runners register here

This FREE event is a great time for kids and families of all ages, but is especially geared for the tweens and teens who like spooky fun. There will many haunting and fun activities for everyone to take part in. For those who want to be moving and grooving with the spirits this Halloween, there are some active and exciting activities in store: pumpkin carving booths, Halloween crafts, a spooky ally for tweens through adults, a scary movie scavenger hunt, and a cartoon-themed maze.

There will also be a PG rated Halloween movie playing for a relaxed and laid back time with friends and family. And if music is your thing, we’ll have an awesome DJ playing some haunting tunes to bring out your inner boogie monster on the dance floor. Plus we can’t forget, there will be some delicious food trucks for all guests to enjoy throughout the event. The fun doesn’t stop there! Alongside all the Halloween activities, for all the athletes out there, there will be a 5K, 10K, and Fun Run as part of the Monster Mash event. Race registration is $50 until Oct. 13; $60 on Race Day. Races begin at 4 pm. The Fun Run for kids is a free event that is a one mile race. Costumes are encouraged and welcomed!

The Fun Run begins at 5:30 pm. There will be amazing prizes for all participants!

It’s a frightful feast for all your senses!  Comedy, drama, music, and more beckon with the promise of a frightfully good time.  Bury yourself in a totally terrifying town with outrageous live shows, disturbing haunts, other screamingly fun attractions, and a collection of hideous live characters!


Halloween Boo Bash at Lincoln Park

  • Where: Lincoln Park Soccer Field, 4325 S. Pantano Rd.
  • When: Oct. 21, 4 - 7 p.m.
  • Cost: FREE

The annual Halloween Boo Bash is a fun-filled night with tricks, treats, entertainment, haunted hayride, storytelling, food, and more. Some of the activities include a costume contest, carnival games, and storytelling. 

Trick-or-Treating at the Mini Time Machine Museum

  • Where: The Mini Time Machine Museum, 4455 East Camp Lowell Drive, Tucson
  • When: Oct. 29, 2 - 3:30 p.m.
  • Cost: Included with museum admission, free for museum members.

Join us for Trick-or-Treating in the museum galleries at 2pm, followed by a Puppet Show in the Caitlin Suite at 3pm. Costumes encouraged! Included with museum admission, free for museum members. Please note that food and drink cannot be consumed in the galleries, but may be enjoyed in the Caitlin Suite during the Puppet Show.

We will also have a FREE Costume Contests that will start at 5 p.m. with a chance for great prizes in your appropriate category.
