Blog Topic - What is the biggest challenge facing President Obama?

Dear M.S. & Boomer Bear,
I totally support your point of view! Keep it up that way!

Your friend, C.L.

Dear M.S.,
You're smart and have a good heart! With the economy being so weak, a lot of folks are losing their jobs, can't find work and can't afford health care for themselves or their families. But with money so tight and the Democrats fighting with the Republicans, I don't know if Congress is gonna take that first big step to ensure that Americans have the health care that they need.

Dear Bear Essential,
I think the biggest problem we face is health care. I think we should increase health care for more people.

Sincerely, M.S.

Dear S.W.,
I understand what you're saying. He and his advisers have made the tough decision that tens of thousands of more troops are needed in our war in Afghanistan. Me and my family support all of the troops who are serving our country in these far away and dangerous places. I'd like to hear more about what young people think about this complicated situation!

I appreciate your thoughts, Boomer Bear

Boomer Bear,
President Obama keeps putting people in war. It's wrong, wrong, wrong.

Yours truly, S.W.

Dear Boomer,
I think the hardest things President Obama faces are trying to get troops out of Iraq and the amount of unemployment. President Obama wants to take troops out of the war, but this war is not over. Why start something if you can't finish it?

Room 28,

Those are thoughtful ideas about what our new president needs to focus on.
Here's some info on me...
My parents named me Boomer. I've gone to many parties and have pretended to box before. I love my school, Bear Canyon Elementary. Pasta is yummy but pizza is delish! I've been to Boston, rode the subway past MIT and visited Harvard instead. I have been to Costa Rica's rainforest. I'm only 10, so the only thing I drive is a go-kart!

Your buddy, Boomer Bear

We have some questions for you!

If I could ask Obama something it would be: could you use your power to bring down gas prices and taxes?

Boomer, what kind of car do you drive?
Have you ever been to a party or play boxed? How did you get the name Boomer?
If you were to go to any school, what would it be? (Our school's name is Pueblo) Do you like pasta? Have you ever been to MIT? Have you ever been in the rainforest?

Thank you,
Room 28

Boomer Bear,
We think President Obama should work on: preventing illegal habits, doing things right to keep them in order, fixing the economy, stopping the war peacefully, raising funding for schools and lowering taxes.

Thank you,
Room 28

Go Barack Obama!!!

Dear J.B.,
I'm glad you like my blog. When you're done thinkin' bout it, send in your thoughts about what are the biggest challenges President Obama faces!

Yer buddy, Boomer Bear

Confused Boomer

Dear Boomer,
I like It. It makes you actually think.

--J.B.

Boomer,
The biggest challenges facing President Barack Obama are: needs to end the war, help people not to use drugs, improve the economy, and gain support from people who don't like him yet by proving he can make positive changes.

Sincerely,
Room 28

These are exciting and very important times for the United States!

Barack Obama has big plans he'd like to get rolling as soon as he takes the oath of office this month.

What do you think he should work on the most?

Dear Boomer,
I think Obama's biggest challenge when he takes office is going to be all his work. He probably needs to try to work on the things that he said he was going to do, like (our energy problems).

But I think the biggest is trying to settle in to be comfortable with being the prez.

Sincerely, C.
